I'm up at the crack of dawn on a Saturday so I can go to a no limits circuit class. Why would I do this on the first morning of a 3 day holiday weekend? 1. I missed a workout this week 2. I broke at least 3 of my "slim down in 7 days" tips 3. Then I have the rest of the day to do stuff!
My 7 day slim down is not going as planned. Mostly because i'm not following my own rules. I typically go off the 80/20 rule: 80% of the time eat healthy, 20% of the time do what you want. Trying to change that to 100% eat healthy all the time is really difficult. But then i'm reminded of one of my favorite quotes...

See that last part? Stop Quitting? That's what I'm doing today. The opposite of quitting it bootcamp, right?
Days like this I need a quick breakfast that digests really easily, especially before a work out. My solution? A fruit-filled smoothie. This recipe is easy and delicious and doesn't contain any crazy ingredients.

Tropical Sunrise Smoothie
1 Banana
10 strawberries
1/4 of a pineapple
1/2 a mango
1 C orange juice
1 tall glass of ice

1 tall glass of ice
Add all ingredients into a blender:
Blend. If it's too thick, add more juice or water. If it's too thin - add more ice or fruit.
You can use fresh or frozen fruit, doesn't matter. It will just change the consistency of your smoothie.
This recipe makes about 44 oz. of smoothie (about 2.5 tall glasses for me). So pour yourself one and save the rest! I usually put the rest in a glass and cover it with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge. Still tastes just as great the next morning for breakfast.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
